Printing
Most people in our industry think this is the heart of any carton operation. This is where all the design and graphics contributions start to come together into your final product.

Our printing presses are some of the most advanced in the United States with the pride of our fleet being a duo of six and seven color Heidlberg speedmaster presses. These presses can also UV coat sheets and print up to two colors on the backside of the sheet all in one pass. With excellent repeatability the printed sheets we produce can only be described as spectacular. Our printing department is second to none.

Cutting
This is where your cartons are cut and creased.

After the Printing Department releases a job, our paper handlers will give it one final check, and then it is sent to the Cutting Department for the next process. Our Pressmen will then Make Ready on the appropriate Cutting press. Each sheet is pulled off the stack and carried through the cutting press with grab bars. As it proceeds it is pressure cut and then waste is stripped off before being delivered to the finish stack on the opposite side of the Cutting press. These finish stacks are then taken to have the remaining waste stripped off via jackhammer, carefully putting the finish goods in baskets by die numbers then sending to the finishing department.

Finishing
This is where your cartons will be glued on one of several gluers here at the Preferred Printing & Packaging.

After your cartons are glued they are given a final inspection by our quality assurance department, then they will be packaged for shipment. Plastics
Our plastics plant can make packages in virtually any conceivable shape and size for your product. Our plastics customers range from the pharmaceutical industry to car parts manufactures. We employ clean room technology to insure that sterile parts stay that way. As with the rest of our operation all designing, tooling and production is performed in house giving us full control over all aspects of production while eliminating the defects that can occur by subcontracting portions of production out to third parties, such as some of our competitors do. Shipping
The shipping department is a very important part of our team operation here at Preferred Printing & Packaging.  We have just upgraded our computer scanning system to help us keep track of customer’s product.  Whether your looking to have your trucks loaded or unloaded we have four specialized forklift to meet your needs.  Currently have two commercial trucks with 40 ft. and 28 ft. trailers for shipping customer products throughout southern California.  With our high tech shrink wrapper customer’s products are sure to arrive safely with out damage.  Most of our current ISO Certification and training has made us all team players here in the shipping department at Preferred Printing & Packaging.
